Dresser Style 118 Pipe Repair Clamp or "Handiband" is a field-proven, low cost band-type repair clamp for quick repair of small leaks and holes in steel piping. Installation is fast, easy and foolproof. Compression of the gasket seals the leak completely and permanently. The Dresser rubber compound gasket offers superior resistance to oils, aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, gasoline and condensates.

Note: Style 118 pipe repair Dresser clamp does not provide a full 360-degree seal on the pipe. For full circle seals Go to Style 360 Repair Clamp

  • Style 118 | Repair Clamp Handiband-Does this handle 212 steam degrees F?

    The standard gasket temp rating goes up to 212F so you would probrobly need a high temp gasket for your application. We can assist you more on our sales inbox at sales@trupply.com.

  • Good morning. The 4" waste pipe for a basement toilet has disintegrated below the mounting flange rendering it unusable. Can this product (or another one) be used as a splice to bridge to remove and replace the bad pipe, connecting new pipe to restore the flange. I had one full service plumbing company take a look at it and they wanted to remove the furnace, waterheater, three walls and dig up our complete finished basement floor to replace all the pipe to the city's sewer. There's got to be a better way!!!!

    Since  this  product  does  not  provide  a full seal  all  the  way  around,  I would  not  reccomend  bridging  gaps  with it.

  • Temperature rating??

    The temp rating for this product is based on the gasket. For typical buna gaskets the max temp is 212F and for high temp gaskets it goes up to 1200F.

  • can this be used on steel gas pipe?

    Sure. Style 118 can be used for this application.

  • Have a pin whole leak in a cast iron pipe. Will this help the situation ?

The item was returned and I have not received a refund of the purchase price as the item did not conform with the dimension ordered. DO NOT order from them because if they make a mistake, you - the consumer gets to pay restocking, return postage, and its a real misery and additional expense with NO return on investment. RUN

3 inch x 12 dresser clamps

Clamps did the job and saved me some money. I did have to increase the diameter of the pipe, (3 inch irrigation) a little with some rubber I had, but after that it worked great.
