This week’s “Ask @drpimplepopper “ features the question — Do you need to use Retinol EVERY night? Always patch test, and ease into it when you first introduce Retinol to your skin. Start with 1-2 times a week for a few weeks and you can eventually work up to everyday depending on your skin’s comfortability!
Pairing it with Hyaluronic Acid — like my HA serum with squalane — is a great way to tackle the dryness that comes with using Retinol.
Last but not least.. if you are using retinol, USE SPF. I cannot stress this enough! Use it every single day, even when you’re indoors. My SLMD SPF is a great one to have on hand, especially because it has vitamin C that adds another layer of protection from the sun!
