Fabric is a sturdy material woven from Linen in Enshrouded. It provides players with valuable functionality and plays a key role in crafting high-quality armor and other useful items. Fabric offers superior durability compared to basic materials, making it ideal for crafting long-lasting gear.
There are two main ways to get Fabric in Enshrouded – crafting it yourself and looting chests and destructible.
Crafting is the main and most reliable method, but it requires more effort and resources. To craft Fabric players will need to unlock the Loom. Complete the “Loom for the Hunter” quest. This involves finding the Weaver’s Cottage in East Lapis and retrieving the Loom hidden within. You can find East Lapis by traveling north from the Kindlewastes Tower, then through a cave passage to reach the plateau. Alternatively, go through the northwestern side of Nomad Highlands, pass Vukah territory, and descend onto the plateau.
You’ll need Linen to make Fabric. Grow Flax in the Revelwood biome, located north of the Springlands. Look for dense forests with tall trees. Use the Hunter’s Hand Spindle to craft Linen from Flax. Two Flax makes one Linen. With five Linen, use the Loom in your base to craft one Fabric.
Looting chests and destructibles is a less reliable method but can be helpful in the early game. Look for chests in the Kindlewastes biome, especially near Towers and forsaken structures in the Nomad Highlands, Sun Temples, Flame Sanctums, and Shrines. Besides chests also keep an eye out for vases and other lootable objects. While Fabric can drop from these sources, it’s not guaranteed and is often mixed with other colored fabrics.
Farming Flax is the most sustainable way to get Fabric. Consider setting up a dedicated farm in the Revelwood biome. Use fertilized soil to improve your Flax yield and speed up Fabric production. Plant and farm Saffron for crafting Yellow Fabric later. If you’re struggling early on, prioritize Flax farming and use Fabric sparingly.

Fortunately, to be able to create this type of material, you only need two resources, although you may have difficulty identifying them. For this reason, many have started to think that obtaining this material is not that simple, but in reality, this is not the case. As usual, the thing to do is to know where to look, as that is the key to getting everything you need in Enshrouded.
The first thing to do to get the Enshrouded Yellow Fabric is to deal with the Hunter who is at your base. This character will tell you that in order to create the Yellow Fabric you will need two resources: Fabric and Saffron. To find these two resources, in case you don't know, you will have to go and explore the areas of the Nomad Highlands and Kindlewastes. However, at least as far as Fabric is concerned, you will not have much difficulty finding it, as you can decide to create it using the Loom.
In order to obtain this machine, all you have to do is continue completing the Hunter's requests until one appears that requires you to create the Loom. Once this is done, all you have to do is place the Loom inside your base so that it is ready to use whenever you need it (as you progress through the game, you will need it). To obtain the Fabric in Enshrouded, you will have to put five pieces of Linen inside the Loom to be able to transform them into bolts of Fabric.
Now, you must get hold of the Saffron, in order to make the Fabric a Yellow Fabric. This resource is not very easy to find because it is located in only one region, namely the Kindlewastes. Head there and explore for purple and red plants that you can find on the ground. With a little effort and luck, you will be able to find the plants in question and obtain the Saffron. Once you have this resource, you can also start planting it in your base in order to make the process easier every time you need this material for some creation.
Once you have both the Fabric and the Saffron, you will have to return to the Hunter in order to create the Yellow Fabric. As we said earlier, this material is very useful for creating different pieces of armor. Consequently, if you want to become increasingly stronger and have boosts in your statistics, you can't help but create this material and always keep it ready in your inventory so that you can use it when you need it.
