Refrigeration system leakage detection, 6 methods to solve easily
1, hand touch oil leak detection
Air conditioner refrigerant is mostly R22, R22 and refrigeration oil has a certain degree of mutual solubility, when R22 has a leak, refrigeration will also seep out or drip out. Using this feature, with visual inspection or hand touch the oil method, you can determine whether the leakage. When the leak is small, with a finger touch is not obvious, you can wear white gloves or white paper to contact the suspicious place, you can also find the leak.
2, soap bubble leak detection
First cut the soap into thin slices, immersed in warm water, so that it dissolves into a thick soap solution. Leak detection, in the inspected parts with gauze to remove stains, with a clean brush dipped in soap, evenly smeared in the inspected parts of the surrounding area, carefully observe the absence of bubbles, such as soap bubbles, indicating that the leakage of the place. Sometimes, it is necessary to fill 0.8-1.0Mpa (8-10kgf/cm2) nitrogen into the system first.
3, pressure leakage detection
After the refrigeration system has been repaired and welded, before charging the refrigerant, it is best to charge 1.5Mpa nitrogen and close the three-way service valve (the valve itself can't leak) near the end of the day. To go to work the next day, such as the meter pressure does not fall, that has been repaired refrigeration system does not leak. If the meter pressure drops, it means that there is a leak, and then use the soap bubble leak detection method to detect leaks.
4, water leak detection
This method is commonly used in the compressor (note that the terminals should be waterproof protection), evaporator, condenser and other parts of the leak detection. The method is: the evaporator should be filled with 0.8Mpa nitrogen, the condenser should be filled with 1.9MPa nitrogen (for the heat pump air conditioner, both should be filled with 1.9MP nitrogen), immersed in 50 ℃ of warm water, carefully observe the occurrence of bubbles.
The purpose of using warm water is to reduce the surface tension of the water, because the lower the temperature of the water, the greater the surface tension, tiny leaks can not be detected. The leakage detection site should be well lit and the water surface should be calm. The observation time should be not less than 30s, and the workpiece is better to be immersed in the water below 20cm. The parts should be dried and processed after the water leakage detection before welding.
5、Halogen lamp leakage detection
Light the halogen lamp and move the suction hose slowly at the leakage detection. Halogen lamp in normal combustion flame is blue. When there is Freon leakage at the place to be checked, the flame color of the lamp head will change obviously, and the flame is slightly green, light green and dark green. When there is a large amount of leakage, the flame is purple. When the halogen lamp produces smoke, indicating that a large number of Freon refrigerant leakage, should stop using halogen lamps, because Freon meets the fire combustion will decompose and produce toxic gases. That is, the flame color changes from light green to dark green to purple, and the leakage amount from slight leakage to serious leakage.
6、Electronic leak detector leak detection
The main parts of the leakage detection are: compressor suction and discharge pipe welding; evaporator, condenser elbow, inlet and outlet pipe and the branch pipe welding parts: such as filter drier, shut-off valves, solenoid valves, thermal expansion valves, distributors, liquid storage tanks and other connections.
Leakage and blockage of the difference between the judgment: leakage repair, vacuum, refill refrigerant, the air conditioner can be restored to the cooling effect; if it is blocked, even with fluorine, air conditioning can not be cooled, the pressure is not normal.
